I agree with most of the comments. The idea is far from original and the photo lacks in quality.
I understand the idea of 'subtle' and 'soft' in a photograph such as this, however, I don't feel this is soft. I feel like it is full of motion. But the idea that is being portrayed to my eyes is frightened, not frantic. Less motion, less noise, but keep the soft blur.
Also, the chime in the middle of the photo. I feel like it takes away from the girl. And even from an artistic standpoint, I don't feel like it plays much of a purpose. Perhaps a window in front and a chime in the back...to symbolize freedom and music outside the cage? But just the chime, off center, and crooked, yet so bluntly in the picture? Not as aesthetically pleasing.
And other than the fact that this has been done before, it's a wonderful concept. You picked beautiful colors and a beautiful model. She has wonderful control over her face and body language. And the rooms adds a wonderful setting and emotion to the photo. I just feel like the composition and quality is a little lacking. Not enough to discourage the picture, just enough to distract someone after looking at it for a while.
I like how a fair chunk of compliments here are for how lifelike this is. Guys... It's a photo...
I'm not wild about the washed out colors, and randomly planting a bird cage on a naked chick's head is more hilarious than thought provoking. I don't know what the chimes are supposed to represent. If this about escape, all she'd have to do is take the bird cage off her head and put some pants on, you know? I wish there was a little more to this.
